Position Description:
</p>
<p>
TrackVia is looking for a bright and experienced programmer, architect, and leader to join their technical team. The candidate will have significant responsibility for the operations of the product development group. This position will combine hands-on coding with leadership and coordination duties. In other word, they are looking for a top-tier technologist who can crank out code while helping to manage the surrounding team. 
</p>
<p>
Responsibilities
</p>
<p>
•	Translating market requirements from the product manager into a functional specification.
<br />
•	Participating in or facilitating the interaction and visual design of new features.
<br />
•	Creating an architecture and technical design of new features.
<br />
•	Building new features or managing their construction by a direct report.
<br />
•	Conducting or overseeing testing, integration, documentation, and new feature launch. 
<br />
•	Directing the work of subordinates, and peer reviewing the work of colleagues.
<br />
•	Shared responsibility for the production environment and managing our hosting relationship. 
<br />
•	Management of our software development process and practices: the bug tracker, the code repository, peer review of code, coding standards, testing protocols, and so on.

Required Skills
</p>
<p>
•	Proven track record managing a high-performing software development team.
<br />
•	Proven track record building commercially successful web-based applications. 
<br />
•	Extremely strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
<br />
•	Deep knowledge of software design and architecture principles.
<br />
•	Good written and verbal communication skills.
<br />
•	Experience designing clear, elegant, and usable applications.
<br />
•	Deep knowledge of dynamic HTML: OO JavaScript, DOM, BOM, CSS, AJAX, and common JavaScript frameworks like Prototype, jquery, or YUI. 
<br />
•	Strong command of one or more server-side programming languages, such as Java or PHP; Perl preferred.
<br />
•	Expertise in relational database concepts and techniques, MySQL preferred.
<br />
•	Strong Unix skills, Linux preferred.
<br />
•	Server infrastructure knowledge a plus (for example, NFS, rsync, SVN, make, etc.).
<br />
•	10+ years experience in programming commercial software or business systems.
<br />
•	4-year college degree – CS, math, or science strongly preferred, advanced degree a plus.

TrackVia is looking for a bright, experienced, senior programmer to join our small but elite software development team. In plain language, they are looking for a hard-core front-end coder (OO JavaScript, DOM, AJAX, CSS) who can also contribute on server-side code, SQL, and the like.
</p>
<p>
Responsibilities include technical analysis and technical design of new features requested by the sales and marketing team, software engineering, programming, testing and integration. 
</p>
<p>
Emphasis for this position is on modern user experience techniques like drag-and-drop, expandable navigation sidebars, dynamic menus, slider bars, and other JavaScript-driven dynamic interactions. Writing back-end code to enable these features will also be required (e.g. Perl code to reply to AJAX requests from the browser) .
